Parking will be available in D-lot or C-lot. Please call Geva at 585-232-1366 for an appointment. You must have an appointment to audition. CHILDREN’S ROLES TO BE CAST: RALPHIE PARKER – a 9 year-old imaginative dreamer, the play’s protagonist. Ralphie desperately wants a BB-gun for Christmas. Sincere with his parents but acts out cowboy fantasies on his own. Average height and weight. Director would prefer either natural blonde hair or willingness to have hair dyed. RANDY PARKER – Ralphie’s little brother, probably 5-7 years-old in the story but could be older in real life. Looking for a small, young actor who is mature enough to rehearse and perform with a professional cast. FLICK – Ralphie’s 9 year-old friend who gets his tongue stuck on a cold metal pole after being dared by his friends, and who is the object of Scut Farkas’s bullying. Average height and weight but could also be thinner or smaller. SCHWARTZ – Ralphie’s 9 year-old friend who Ralphie wrongly blames for teaching him swear words. Could be heavier in weight or taller than average. SCUT FARKAS – the neighborhood bully, about 11-12, who howls like a wolf and terrorizes kids coming and going to school. Average height and weight. ESTHER JANE – 9 year-old classmate of Ralphie who has a crush on him. Very girly girl. Average height and weight. HELEN – 9 year-old classmate of Ralphie’s who is a serious, brilliant student and strong enough to beat up the boys. She is dating a sixth-grader. Could be taller than average. AUDITION SCENES: Each child should prepare, but does not have to memorize, one character’s General audition scene based on the character description above. The Callback scenes will only be used if the child is asked to come to a second, “callback”, audition. AUDITION FORM: Please have the entire Audition Form filled-out before your appointment. Please bring a recent headshot or photo of your child that we can attach to the audition form. Please include a resume or list of past performance experience, if applicable. REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE CALENDAR: Please review the Rehearsal and Performance calendar for any potential conflicts. Geva will either cast two children for each role so all performances are alternated, or cast each role with one child plus understudies. That will be determined after auditions.
